Rubber Band Trajectory Project

In our group there is Taylor, Mattelyn, Margo, and Lauren.

In the rubber band project our focus is to know how to design a good experiment, writing a good procedure for the experiment, data collection, data graphing, data analzing, and the scientific method. The question we had was "How does the angle (15, 30, 45, 60, and 75 degrees) affect the distance a rubber band will travel?" We figured out that 30 degrees went the further distance for our rubber band trajectory. We believe that 30 degrees went the furthest because 30 degrees was close to the middle but not to close, that affects it because it is not going far to in the air so it doesn't take away speed that could be used to get it pushed forward for distance. The most challenging part was figuring out the design. It was the hardest part because we had to figure out how we were going to be able to make it work so that it could shoot rubber bands at the correct angle. We used the scientific method by being given a question, coming up hypothesis, conduction the experiment, and finding out what the answer to the question is.
